Unbeatable Communications Muscle
The backbone of the ComSpan Communications' Communication system is the Nortel DMS-500 Local and Long Distance Switch...state-of-the-art technology that is unsurpassed in the market. The DMS-500 combines multiple data and voice features into a single switch, enabling ComSpan Communications to offer more services and features, more efficiently, more reliably and more economically than any other technology in the market.
Though ComSpan Communications administrative offices are located in downtown Roseburg, our switch is housed in our modern, 3,000 square-foot facility in north Roseburg, which features a state-of-the-art emergency back-up system to ensure uninterrupted service.
In addition to our state-of-the-art technology, ComSpan Communications will be tying into the Northwest Open Access Network. NoaNet is a nonprofit corporation that has licensed fiber optic cables from the Bonneville Power Administration and is focusing on bringing to rural areas the sophisticated telecommunications network that residents of larger communities already enjoy.
ComSpan Communications is working locally with Douglas Electric Cooperative, a member of the nonprofit NoaNet partnership, to provide our customers with access to NoaNet's state-of-the-art network and its outstanding communications capabilities.
